because I love winter . . .
and because the other backgrounds Yahoo offered were dull in comparison.
2. Though summer is my least favorite season,
I absolutely LOVE sunflowers.
Why? Because they always face the sun
and they look so happy.
I'll bet sunflowers never need psychotherapy.
3. When I'm really
dying for something decadent,
but there are slim pickings in the house,
I've been known to squirt whipped cream on tablespoons of hot fudge,
and eat enough to make myself want to puke.
4. Sandals are my favorite footwear.
5. I actually love to wear skirts.
6. But not nylons.
7. When I was a kid, I had the
world's hugest crush on Shaun Cassidy.
8. I also had a crush on Elizabeth Montgomery (the lady who played "Bewitched").
No... I'm not kidding.
9. I still believe the scariest thing in California
are the earthquakes.
10. Those huge windsock-type guys
that places use to advertise sales --
you know, the ones that are attached
to a wind machine, so that they flop around and wave their air-sock arms -- freak me out.
11. I love to wear make up, but not every day.
12. I'm not sure I'll ever grow my hair long again.
13. Giving birth to kids is the EASY part.
14. I love the smell of horses. And horse poop.
And there is little in the world that compares
to a foal's first kisses.
15. I used to be only a dog person, until I fell in love with Bogey, our cat. Then along came Kara, our diva cat, and I fell in love again.
16. I think we could learn a lot about life
by watching animals, how they live and
how they parent their offspring.
17. I think that if we learned and practiced tolerance, we could solve the world's biggest problems, even world hunger.
18. I wish on stars all the time.
I also wish on clouds, birthday candles, butterflies and M&Ms.
Hey -- you can never have enough wishes.
19. Sometimes I look at a chair in a room
and wonder if it's really there ... or if I am.
20. If I'd have been born 15 years earlier,
I would have gone to Woodstock.
21. My favorite Starbucks' drink is
a blended caramel macchiato, with soymilk,
extra caramel and no whipped cream.
It's a special request and every Starbucks'
employee looks at me like I'm an alien
when I order it.
22. My absolute favorite coffee drinks
are the ones Diane makes me every morning
with our espresso/cappuccino maker.
23. Someday, I want to visit Ireland and Greece. And New York City.
24. I am absolutely addicted to musicals -- especially "Grease."
25. One day, I'm going to play Rizzo... even if I do it when I'm 103 years old.
26. I believe we have the absolute right to love anyone we choose.
27. I believe our Creator, in whichever form s/he exists for us, wants us to be happy.
28. I sing in the shower. Often and loud.
29. I sometimes still sleep with a teddy bear.
